Puntland Consumer price Index monthly report for November 2019
The All Groups CPI decreased from 84.6 to 84.3 in the month of November 2019. The monthly change of November was a decrease of -0.2 percent compared to an increase of 0.2 percent in the previous month of October 2019.
The most significant monthly price increases were Recreation and Culture (+5.9%), Restaurants and Hotels (+4.7%), Transportation (+2.2%), Clothing and Footwear (+2.1%), Furnishings, Household Equipment & Maintenance (+1.1%) and Communication(+0.2%).
These positive movements were partially offset by price decreases in Miscellaneous Goods & Services (-6.6%), Health (-2.5%), Tobacco & Khat (-1.7%) and Housing, Water, Electricity & Gas (-0.9%) leading to a relatively flat result at the All Groups CPI level.

The annual change (or inflation rate), over the twelve months to the month of November 2019, was an increase of 13.5 percent. This change is compared to an increase of 14.1 percent over the twelve months to the month of October 2019.
The most significant price increases were Clothing and Footwear (+25.2%), Transport (+24.3%), Tobacco & Khat (+17.2%), Recreation and Culture (+16.5%), Housing, Water, Electricity & Gas (+16.2%) and Health (+14.7%). In general, there was a groundswell of positive price development.
