Puntland Consumer price Index monthly report for May 2020
The All Groups CPI increased from 87.66 to 88.11 in the month of May 2020. The monthly change of May was an increase of 0.51 percent compared to an increase of 1.60 percent in the previous month of April 2020.
The most significant monthly price increases were Restaurants and Hotels (3.25%), Miscellaneous Goods & Services (2.23%), Clothing & footwear (1.07%), Health (0.89%), food & beverages (0.60 %).
These positive movements were partially offset by price decreases in Tobacco & Khat (-1.49%). housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (-0.20%). Transportation (-0.16%). leading to a relatively flat result at the All Groups CPI level.
