Consumer Price Index: All Groups CPI, June 2019.
The All Groups CPI decreased from 86.4 to 85.9 in the month of June 2019. The monthly change of June was a decrease of -0.6 percent compared to an increase of 1.6 percent in the previous month of May 2019.
The most significant monthly price increases were Alcoholic Beverages, Tobacco & Narcotics; (+6.4%), Miscellaneous Goods & Services (+6.2%), Clothing and Footwear (+3.5%), Health (+1.3%) and Recreation and Culture (+0.4%).
These positive movements were fully offset by price decreases in Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (-2.3%), Restaurants & Hotels (-1.4%), Communication (-0.8%), Transportation (-0.6%) and Housing, Water, Electricity & Gas (-0.4%) leading to a relatively flat result at the All Groups CPI level.

The annual change (or inflation rate), over the twelve months to the month of June 2019, was an increase of 8.8 percent. This change is compared to an increase of 2.2 percent over the twelve months to the month of May 2019.
The most significant price increases were Clothing and Footwear (+15.2%), Transportation (+14.1%), Health (+13.4%), Miscellaneous Goods & Services (12.6%), Housing, Water, Electricity & Gas (+12.3%), Recreation and Culture (+11.4%), and Alcoholic Beverages, Tobacco & Narcotics (9.0%). In general, there was a groundswell of positive price development.
